A Feast

I am losing some of my taste for foods I have always enjoyed. I’m not sure whether that is because of my disease or because of my age. But it’s a fact. I have always enjoyed dining out, but lately many of the foods I enjoyed in the past, while still ok, do not give me the thrill they once did. A medium ribeye, once the pinnacle, is just another piece of food to me now.

But the feast I enjoy more and more is the feast provided by God’s word. It tastes better to me than ever before.

This banquet spread before me is massive and varied. I can’t begin to eat it all in one sitting. It seems endless. And it is delicious. Better every bite, bite after bite.
